Laracon US ("we," "our," or "us") built the Laracon US mobile app ("App") to support event attendees in accessing schedules, networking, and engaging with sponsors. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the Laracon US App, we may collect the following:
- Profile Information: Full Name, Bio, Company Name, Designation, and optional social media links (LinkedIn, GitHub, Twitter)
- Ticket ID: Required to authenticate your access to the app
- QR Code Connections: When attendees scan each other's profile QR codes to view and save connections
We do not collect your phone contacts, audio recordings, or real-time location data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Authenticate your access to the app using your ticket ID
- Enable networking through profile creation and QR code scanning
- Allow attendees and sponsors to follow up post-event for professional connections or collaboration
3. Profile Sharing and Networking
Your profile information is only visible to others when:
- You scan another attendee's QR code
- You voluntarily allow others to scan your QR code
- You engage with sponsors at the event
Note: By sharing your profile, you consent to the possibility of post-event contact from other attendees or sponsors. Laracon US is not responsible for how others may use your shared information.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate safeguards to protect your information. However, no digital platform can guarantee 100% security.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You may:
- View, edit, or delete your profile at any time

6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will promptly delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will be available in the app with an updated effective date.
